Gambino, Ta-Ku, Client Liaison, The Rubens and 30+ acts at some of Australia’s best getaway towns.

If you haven’t heard about Falls Music and Arts Festival, surely you must be living under a rock. The now multi-day music festival began with a one-day show in Lorne in 1993. This year, Falls Festival will travel to Lorne Victoria, Marion Bay Tasmania, Byron Bay New South Wales and Fremantle Western Australia, Australia in the last week of December 2016 and the first week of January 2017.

For their 24th annual year, Falls Festival will host some of the best music acts from around the world whilst providing some of the best entertainment on top!

The main headliners London Grammar and Gambino who are performing for Falls only (no side shows) will be accompanied with other acts such as AlunaGeorge, MØ, Modern Baseball and Jamie T.

One of the best things about Falls is that it’s filled with Aussie bands who are changing the music scene. Get excited to see artists and bands such as Matt Corby (known for his song ‘Brother’), The Avalanches (just came out with their new album ‘Wildflower’), The Rubens (known for their song ‘Hoops’) plus many more acts.

Particularly, I’m excited to see Client Liaison (my favourite), Vallis Alps, Grandmaster Flash, Childish Gambino and The Avalanches at Lorne.

What to do when your at Falls, Melbourne

I'm a Melbourne boy and once I found out that it was being held at Lorne, I got my thinking cap on and came up with a list of places to go visit whilst I'm there.

Lorne is a town located about 3 hours outside of Melbourne. It's picturesque beaches makes it one of the most popular tourist stop-overs whilst on the Great Ocean Road (home to the famous 12 Apostles). On the drive to Lorne, you can stop by Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club to carve on some waves. Once you're done dipping in the ocean you can visit Aireys Inlet another small town with their iconic Split Point Lighthouse. Here you can admire the views that the Great Ocean Road has to offer whilst appreciating the small local history of Aireys Inlet.

When you arrive at Falls Festival,

You can unpack your car, set up your tent and enjoy the beauty of the Otway National Park where the festival is held. The Great Otway National Park covers over 103 square kilometers bringing life to rugged coastlines, beaches as far as the eye can see, rock platforms and windswept heathland. If you head up north, the park features tall rainforests, fern gullies, magnificent waterfalls and tranquil lakes that will definitely get you more likes than usual on your Instagram page. Just make sure you don't forget to hashtag #ExperienceToday so we can feature you on our page.

So if you have some spare moments, venture out and make your festival experience that little more extraordinary. Not only will all your friends be jealous that you attended one of the greatest Australian music festivals, but they will be even more envious that you're living life to the fullest.
